Annual Programming for the Wiregrass Blues Society

The Wiregrass Blues Society (WBS) is dedicated to preserving, promoting, and passing down the rich legacy of blues music through impactful programs that serve the Wiregrass community and beyond. Our involvement in the International Blues Challenge supports rising local talent as they compete on a global stage, while our signature Blues in Schools program brings live music education directly to students. Through our Path to Influence series, we provide artist development and opportunities for musicians to grow their craft. The Youth Instrument Initiative places instruments into the hands of young artists who may not otherwise have access to them, cultivating the next generation of musicians. Each spring, the Wiregrass Blues Festival brings thousands together to celebrate the heritage and spirit of the blues, and our Quarterly Gatherings offer music lovers a chance to connect, learn, and enjoy live performances year-round. Together, these programs demonstrate the WBS’s commitment to Keeping the Blues Alive in the Heart of the Wiregrass.
